This policy explains how contraireau.com handles the data of the people who visit it. Au Contraire is a portfolio: there is no sign-up, no form and nothing for sale, so almost none of your data passes through here.
Who is responsible
The site is run by Leonardo Hemmel Otsuka, in São Paulo, Brazil. For any question about your data, write to .
What is collected
Nothing you type. There are no fields, no login and no cart.
Like any website, the server and the content delivery network (Cloudflare) automatically log technical data for each visit: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and time. This keeps the site online, protects it against attacks and helps diagnose faults, on the basis of legitimate interest, and it is kept only for a short time.
There is no analytics, tracking pixel or advertising.
Cookies and local storage
The site stores a few things in your browser, all functional and none for tracking:
ac-lang (cookie, one year): remembers the language you chose.
ac-intro-done (session): stops the opening animation from repeating while the tab stays open.
__cf_bm (Cloudflare cookie, about 30 minutes): tells people apart from bots, for security.
As these are essential cookies, the law does not require a consent banner. If any measurement tool is ever added, this text and the site will be updated first.
Who the data is shared with
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site and runs the delivery network and the language detection. Technical visit data may be processed on servers outside Brazil, under Cloudflare’s contractual safeguards.
GitLab stores only the source code, with no visitor data.
If you write to , the message reaches a personal mailbox and is used only to reply to you.
No data is sold or used for profiling or automated decisions.
Your rights
Under the Brazilian LGPD (Law 13,709 of 2018) and the GDPR, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, portability or object to the processing of your data. In practice, since the site keeps very little that identifies anyone, this comes down to the technical logs. Make the request through .
Security and changes
The site is served over HTTPS only and exposes no forms or login areas. This policy may change, and the date below marks the latest version.
